JANUARY 10-12th 2020, Cincinnati, OH

picture 2020 Cavalcade of Customs car show Cincinnati Ohio

The annual KOI Cavalcade of Customs Car Show brings hundreds of the coolest custom cars, hotrods, motorcycles, trucks, and more to the floors of the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati, OH.

Diversity at the 60th Annual Show

With more than 500 vehicles on display, there were some great builds representing a nice range in both styling and performance mods.

If 2020 hallmarks any interesting head turns, it might be a Ford GT350 sharing the spotlight next to a Corvette ZR1 C7.

About CorteX Racing

CorteX Racing (cortexmotorsports.com) is a U.S. based engineering design house of performance aftermarket motorsports parts and customer car builds. CorteX was founded in 2009 when the public demand for their optimized prototype suspension components (raced on their own cars) delivered what both enthusiasts and professionals were after, an unmet need for quality, durability and results in Mustang aftermarket suspension.

The passion to innovate in motorsports has been lifelong for founder Filip Trojanek, a professional mechanical engineer experienced in aerospace, energy and automotive design.

Today, CorteX is an internationally recognized leader in vintage Pro-Touring and modern Muscle Car suspension systems. In 2019, CorteX expanded with a retail and automotive performance installation and fabrication shop in Ohio.

At CorteX, delivering “the core of performance” requires a precisely engineered suspension system to maximize grip and effectively transfer engine power to the road.

Mustangs Dominate 25 hours of Thunderhill

December 8th 2019, Willows Ca.

The endurance race started Saturday at 11 a.m. and concluded Sunday at noon. The 25 Hours of Thunderhill is one of the most challenging auto races in the country and this year’s event proved it with drivers battling rain, mud and wind throughout the event.

In one of most grueling endurance races of the last years where adverse weather put handling to the test, it is incredible to see CorteX Racing suspension in action across the podium.

2019 NASA Pro Racing 25 Hours of Thunderhill E0 Class winners:

Dale Sievwright, Dan McKeever, Brian Smith and Ryan Roberson!

The group ran a Ford Mustang GT, and the only upgrade was the suspension.

– Nasa Speed News

Conditions were so bad, drivers described it more like a rally.

We didn’t have the pace in the wet, but we knew we had the pace in the dry, so we were watching the changing conditions,

We just tried to keep it on track and fortunately luck was in our favor today.

– John Birkhead

Fantastic Finish by Spec Mustangs, 2nd in E0

While MPACT won by 19 laps in the E0 class, the race was much closer, with DIG Motorsports and Honda Racing THRW mixing it up and making it tough sledding early in the race.

DIG Motorsports finished second in a Ford Mustang and Honda Racing THRW 2 finish third in a Honda Civic Type R.

CorteX Racing equipped Spec Mustangs driven by Beau Borders, Roger Eagleton and others drivers finish 2nd in the E0 class.

Mustang or “Mudtang”?

What came to be deemed the ‘MUDtang’ displayed some awesome driving in more rally cross conditions than circuit racing.

Trans Am GT Champion- Eagleton Mustang

CorteX Racing Spec Mustang Wins Title

Congratulations Roger Eagleton the 2019 West Coast GT Champion!
Cheers to Beau Boarders on Podium win!

It is great to see talented drivers like Roger and Beau lead the Trans Am GT class equipped with our CorteX Racing Spec Mustang SMG suspension system.

Oct 5th 2019

Hawaii resident Roger Eagleton was crowned Trans Am presented by Pirelli West Coast Champion in the GT Class.

The West Coast Championship GT Class teams had not seen competitive action on the track since Portland, Oregon at the end of July when Roger claimed second spot on the podium to give him a total of 125 points and the lead in the Championship heading to Texas.

Roger’s weekend in the No. 98 Five Star Property Management / Energy Real Estate Ford Mustang began with a time of 2:38:784 in practice, a time he bettered with 2:35:310 in qualifying to claim the second spot in class on the grid behind pacesetter Joe Bogetich (No. 65 Westover Controls Chevrolet Camaro SS).

Although Bogetich then went flag-to-flag for the win, it was Roger Eagleton who claimed the overall GT West Coast Championship with his second-place finish.

Beau Boarders (No. 7 APEX Race Parts/ CorteX Racing Ford Mustang) completed the GT podium in third (2nd for the Season).

“It’s really a great honor to win the West Coast Championship in the GT class.

The team DIG Motorsports is only in the third year of existence and to win a pro-level championship is really amazing. A lot of thanks goes to Trans Am to make this possible.

It’s a great stepping stone for us as we want to work up to TA2.” – Roger Eagleton

We all look forward to seeing what Roger can achieve next year, but first let’s congratulate him on this fine Championship.

Ford’s Mustang GT was built to take on the wide swathes of America’s open roads, with the newest iterations of the vehicle branching away from the crude beginnings of the All-American muscle car.

These days, the GT has placed a definitive focus on drivability, proving its worth on everything from the track, strip, and raceway, to normal, everyday intersections. But the tons-of-fun car isn’t something to be scoffed at, especially when it comes to performance.
