Spec Mustang (SMG), is a racing class in the San Francisco Region of the SCCA.
The class is based on the 2005-2009 Mustang GT that produces a fast and exciting race car with a reasonable build and maintenance cost.

Rules Prioritize a Driver’s Ability
There is a rule against race-built engines, with random dyno testing done to assure everyone is within a few horsepower of one another. This has created very exciting, close and clean racing.
With the strict rules, there is a premium on driver ability and consistency, not bank account.
